Good location, construction makes traffic messy. Contacting the office is difficult if you are looking for a quick response.
Enjoyable spot to live.
Nice place to live. I would prefer to cancel the valet trash service. They make a mess on the hallways and stairs.
Community Needs Love Before Raising Rent
The Not So Good: Value is going down considering rent is rising everywhere, including Monroe Place. The fitness center is small, the pool water didn't look quite right over the summer, and the dog park is closed. I know some of these are temporary, but raising rent for new tenants is not warranted if the amenities do not get better. Landscaping could use a lot of work, especially in the main walkway behind the pool. Trash pickup could be more consistent, we were told trash pickup starts at 8pm but it has been as early as 6:45 and as late as 11:30. Pedestrian gate spring is no longer attached to the gate, so it doesn't close on its own anymore. The Good The couple of times maintenance have visited my apartment, they have been in and out as well as responsive. Noise is generally quiet, can't complain about highway traffic. I have always loved the added privacy of the large trees outside of my balcony during the spring & summer months. Other Turning left off of Monroe Pl onto Monroe Drive is now near impossible during the day.
Only Ok. Old rooms lead to issues
I have lived here for almost 1 full year and in my time here I have mostly enjoyed my stay, however, that isn't without problems. The appliances and general fit and finish of the place seem to be old. Warped floors, iffy air conditioning, and mold are common. Maintenance is quick-ish to respond but doesn't always fix the problem. When my roommate and I moved in, there was warped floors that no one addressed. Our AC has been out for a month and no one has fixed it despite multiple requests. The staff is very friendly and approachable which is nice. Traffic can get bad due to the location, but location is also a positive since it is near 85 and 75. Good place but not completely sold on the expeirence.
